Education and Training

I trained with Equine Podiatry Training UK, completing a comprehensive and in-depth programme focused on the anatomy, biomechanics, and long-term health of the equine hoof. This training emphasises a holistic, evidence-based approach, allowing me to support soundness, performance, and rehabilitation across a wide range of horses and disciplines. I qualified and received my Lantra Level 5 Diploma in Equine Podiatry.

I am a registered member of the Equine Podiatry Association (EPA) and work in accordance with their professional standards, code of conduct, and best-practice guidelines. Membership of the EPA ensures that my work is accountable, ethical, and continually informed by current research and developments within equine podiatry. I am also fully insured.

As part of my professional commitment, I complete a minimum of 40 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year, as required by the Equine Podiatry Association. This includes attending courses, workshops, lectures, and practical training to continually develop my skills and stay up to date with advances in hoof care, rehabilitation, and equine welfare. Regular CPD ensures that the care I provide is current, informed, and tailored to each horse’s individual needs.
